SushiGroove A Japanese masterpiece by Ismaya Group, they have become my personal favorite since the beginning. I consider them modern Japanese cuisine done creatively and beautifully. Young & fresh. This wall mural is so mesmerizing, I can’t seem to take my eyes off it.
Chirashi Sushi – IDR 122K Assorted sashimi served on top of a bowl of vinegar rice. Elegant and beautiful to the eyes, an important essence in Japanese cooking. Always my classic favorite when it comes to Japanese cuisine.
Beef & Tongue Sate Padang (S) – IDR 23K A specialty skewer meal from Padang, made from diced beef with spicy sauce made of turmeric, ginger, garlic, coriander, curry powder, and salt. Quite tender meat with tasty, spicy sauce.
Karaka-Men Special – IDR 99K IPPUDO’s original tonkotsu broth with special spicy miso, cashew nuts, bean sprouts & ground pork. All “special” versions include salted soft-boiled egg, pork belly & seaweed. Strong miso taste, which I liked, but the broth could’ve been thicker as in the real Hakata ramen.
Grill, grill, grill!! With IDR 165K nett, you could enjoy both Yakiniku (Japanese BBQ, self-serviced), Robatayaki (Japanese Grill), Shabu-Shabu (Japanese Steamboat, roughly), a limited selection of drinks, and desserts. Recommended to go with friends and family. Arrive hungry, leave full and content!
Three ways Tapas Platter – IDR 150K Now happens to be Soft Shell Crabs Week, and thus they are offering succulent specials: Soft Shell Crabs done three ways: with potato-parsley sauce, with veggie and ginger-honey dresssing, and with garlic bread and salsa verde. Each separately is priced at IDR 75K. More generous amount of all-three sauces are preferred to balance out the saltiness of the crabs.
Kaisen Don – IDR 70K Chunks of salmon, tuna, gindara, and tiger prawn sauteed with shoyu and garlic-flavored butter. Topped with tobiko and dried seaweed. A little bit overpriced, but taste-wise was quite memorable. Strong garlic flavor. A must-try.
