Tonkotsu Ramen Noodle – $10.50 (+$1.50 for a Boiled Egg) One of their noodles with a thick soup. Yes, indeed, it was very thick and the smell of pork might be too strong for some people.
Chirashi Sushi – IDR 122K Assorted sashimi served on top of a bowl of vinegar rice. Elegant and beautiful to the eyes, an important essence in Japanese cooking. Always my classic favorite when it comes to Japanese cuisine.
Spicy Tonkotsu Char-shu men – IDR 75K This is what I have been looking for. One spoonful of the thick broth sent me into a divine moment. Better than Hakata Ikkousha’s Silver Pork. This is it!
Karaka-Men Special – IDR 99K IPPUDO’s original tonkotsu broth with special spicy miso, cashew nuts, bean sprouts & ground pork. All “special” versions include salted soft-boiled egg, pork belly & seaweed. Strong miso taste, which I liked, but the broth could’ve been thicker as in the real Hakata ramen.
Tonkotsu Shisen Chasiu Men – IDR 65K With more pork, this packs a punch compared to its cousins. The broth is sure tasty, but not thick enough to deserve its Hakata name.
Bakmi Ayam Garam (Chinese Salted Chicken Noodles) This is definitely among the best ones. The noodles were cooked right, and that was a lot of chicken, good chicken meat right there. To top it off, the chili sauce gave a blazing taste to the chicken.
