A teishoku set, which includes chawan mushi (steamed egg pudding), small dish, salad, steamed rice, miso soup, pickles, and a dessert. This ain’t like regular, cheap chicken katus you get at any random place. This is the bomb!

Tsukune – IDR 18K
Momo – IDR 15K
Gyutan – IDR 33K

A full-flavored Japanese chicken-and-egg rice bowl that can make a man very happy. They sure don’t hold back on the flavor. The #1 Oyakodon in Jakarta, 2nd only to homemade one.

Ginger pork saute. All lunch set includes chawan mushi (steamed egg pudding), small dish, salad, steamed rice, miso soup, pickles, and a dessert.

Worn by my grandfather, the last samurai. Just kidding.

Found by walking through “Waroeng Kita” restaurant in Plaza Senayan.
I love this place. It reminds me a lot of traditional Japan. The food while good, tastes a bit salty to me, for an authentic Japanese cuisine. Perhaps it’s already been suited to Indonesian taste. Regardless, I still feel like I’m in feudal Japan whenever I visit this restaurant. The room pictured here is a VIP room with a capacity of 6-8 persons. If you want other seating arrangements, they provide bar-seating and regular seating area. Doesn’t matter where your seat is, the place is still unarguably elegant and beautiful. The staffs are trained very well too, catering to Japanese customers who usually expect nothing less than superb hospitality as it’s done in Japan. It’s worth it.
Yep, I will be back.
