Marinated Aussie Flank steak, fire-grilled and hand-cut with rice, Jack cheese, vegetarian black beans, salsa, rolled in a flour tortilla, then topped with salsas, melted Jack cheese, crema, guacamole and corn chips. A masterpiece.
In addition to the basic salsas coming with your order, you might want to try hotter ones from the GYG Salsa Station below.

The Habanero will blow your hat off. You have been warned!

TOP: Sliced Jalapeño and Cilantro (Coriander Leaves).
BOTTOM: Habanero (extra hot), Smokey Chipotle (hot), and Roasted Jalapeño (mild). I dare you to try the habanero straight. My personal favorite.

Marinated, succulent fillets char-grilled and kicked up with spicy Mexican chillies. Bold-tasting and extremely flavorful which makes it a must-try.

This is the GYG lunch deal valid Monday-Friday with any menu item purchase. Not bad.

Mixed greens, corn, cucumber, Pico de Gallo salsa, GYG’s vinaigrette and steak chipotle. The vinaigrette tasted like regular vinagrette but with an added Mexican twist. It was delicious.

While it could be overwhelming to make your first order here, I suggest looking at the takeaway menu and start reading from the top. It’s the same information displayed above the counter, but to me personally the takeaway menu is much easier to digest. The system here isn’t like American system which closely follows Subway’s. Nevertheless you should choose your filling first (the meat), then what goes with it (burritos, nachos, quessadillas, salads, etc). In the US you could select individual fillings just like you would in Subway. I miss Mexican-American food from Chipotle, Baja Fresh, Moe’s, Qdoba, etc from time-to-time, but I consider this Guzman y Gomez Mexican Taqueria a decent enough substitution. They are also easily found all around Sydney which is a big plus.
Yep, I will be back.
