The quest to find great burgers continues. This place is located just below Burger Project from my last post. Grill’d has served burgers in World Square for a while now. Can it still compete against the new contender?
Quite a lot to choose from, so I based my choice on the (relatively) new item that they’ve got: Chilli Addict. I confess, I am an addict, a chilli addict, no less. Eating this burger further supports my addiction.
First, the meat. Reasonably thick, isn’t it? No need to dig out the meat. It’s there for everyone to see. Taste? Whoaa! Super tasty!!! This burger reminds me what a great burger should taste like, and this bold burger is to be enjoyed until the last bite! And you crave for more! All the different peppers really make this burger shine. I only wish for my friend Habanero to join his little brother Jalapeño for an explosion of flavor. It’s hands-down a masterpiece, proving that Grill’d definitely isn’t on the losing end of the burger war.
Texture-wise, it’s different from my homemade burger. Perhaps they use a different part of cow? It’s more chewy and less compact, unlike the burger I had earlier at Burger Project.
They support local social groups by giving you the chance to vote on one of the three groups available each month. The group with the most votes will get $300 while the other two get $100 each. Everyone wins something. Nice, huh?
The service is to die for. Friendly and helpful staff make you feel at home. They work together very well, too. When I chose to make my unfinished burger a take-away, one waiter took it to the counter and just seconds later it was already nicely wrapped and put in a brown bag. Amazing!
